Trading on Hexio
You're not buying crypto. You're buying shares in a prediction. Will BTC be higher or lower when the round ends? Will the temperature be over or under the line? Will the candidate win? Same mechanic, hundreds of markets.
The mechanics
Each market is a timed round tied to a crypto asset. At the start of the round, a Beat Priceis recorded — that's the asset's price right then. When the clock runs out:
- Price finished above the Beat Price → UP wins. UP shares redeem at $1.00. DOWN shares expire at $0.
- Price finished below the Beat Price → DOWN wins. DOWN shares redeem at $1.00. UP shares expire at $0.
Share prices move between $0.01 and $0.99. A share at $0.60 means the market prices that outcome at 60% likely. If you think it's actually 80%, that share is underpriced — that's your trade.
The flow
Select
Choose your asset and interval. 7 assets × 4 intervals = 28 live markets.
Predict
UP or DOWN. That's the binary.
Size & submit
Enter shares, pick order type (Market / Limit / Auto), hit the button.
Wait
Your order routes to the Polymarket CLOB. It fills against existing liquidity.
Resolve
Round ends. Winners redeem at $1.00. Or sell early to lock in a profit.
BUY vs SELL
BUY to enter a position. SELLto exit before the round resolves. Selling lets you lock in profit (or cut loss) without waiting for the timer. You don't have to hold until resolution — the order book is always open.
The Beat Price
The reference price at round start, taken from the same feed Polymarket settles on. Since 7 August 2026 that is a Chainlink TWAP — a time-weighted average rather than a single spot print. Both the opening price and the final settlement price come from it: 5-minute rounds use the 30-second window, 15-minute and longer rounds use the 60-second window. The Beat line and Polymarket sit on the same basis, so the line is always the real Polymarket Beat. Toggle the overlay to see it as a horizontal line.
The header shows the live TWAP next to the Beat price, and the chart draws it as a dotted line. Because it averages the last 30 or 60 seconds, it lags spot slightly — which is exactly why a round can settle against the last candle you saw. Judge the round on the TWAP, not on spot.
Outcome-aware buttons
Crypto Up/Down rounds use UP / DOWN. Other Polymarket markets surface their real outcome names — a goals-in-the-match market reads OVER / UNDER, a temperature spread reads ABOVE / BELOW, a price-target market reads HIGHER / LOWER. The position selector, the action button (e.g. Buy $25 OVER) and the SL/TP description all use the market's actual outcome strings instead of a generic YES/NO. Multi-outcome markets render each sub-outcome as its own row in the outcome board, with its own buttons.
Round browser
Each crypto round is a discrete market — and you can step through them. The header has a past · LIVE · futurestrip with chevrons and a jump dropdown that covers the last 24 hours plus up to three upcoming rounds. Selecting a past round puts the chart into a read-only view of exactly that round's curve, beat price and outcome; selecting a future round shows a countdown to when it opens. See Rounds & Browser.
