Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Hexio ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use prediction markets in your jurisdiction. Hexio does not verify your jurisdiction — compliance is your responsibility.

3. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and wallet keys. Hexio is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to protect your credentials.

4. The service

Hexio provides a trading and analytics interface for Polymarket prediction markets. We are an interface layer, not a market maker, exchange, or financial institution. All trades settle on Polymarket's smart contracts on the Polygon blockchain.

The Platform also offers analytics tools (wallet research, leaderboards, market signals), an optional paid Data API, and simulated features such as paper copy-trading and strategy backtests. Simulated results are modelled, not executed: they assume fills that may not have been achievable at that size or moment, and they are not a representation of returns you would have made.

5. Wallets & custody

Custodial and imported wallet keys are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and stored on our servers. Linked wallets are entirely self-custodied. You may reveal, export, or delete your keys at any time. Hexio is not responsible for lost or compromised keys after export.

6. Fees

Hexio charges no platform fee on trading. We do not deduct any amount from your orders, balances, or redeemed winnings. Hexio is compensated through Polymarket's builder program for orders routed with our builder code; that is settled between Hexio and Polymarket. Polymarket charges its own taker fees on certain order types, which are set by Polymarket and not by us. Optional Data API plans are billed separately at the rates shown at purchase. Fee structures may change with 30 days' advance notice posted on the Platform.

7. Risk disclosure

Prediction market trading involves significant risk. Share prices can go to zero. Past performance does not indicate future results. You should not trade with funds you cannot afford to lose. Hexio does not provide financial, investment, or trading advice.

8. No guarantees

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, data accuracy, order execution speed, or that the Platform will be free from errors or interruptions.

9. Market resolution

Market outcomes are determined by Polymarket's resolution sources and oracle systems, not by Hexio. We have no control over or liability for market resolution decisions.

10. Prohibited use

You may not use Hexio to:

  • Manipulate markets or engage in wash trading
  • Circumvent rate limits or abuse the API
  • Use automated systems to exploit the Platform beyond normal trading
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attack the Platform's infrastructure

11. Intellectual property

All content, design, and code on the Platform belong to Hexio or its licensors. Market and reference data is sourced from Binance, Pyth Network, Chainlink and Polymarket, plus ESPN, Cricsheet, OpenDota and Leaguepedia for sports and esports results, and Open-Meteo and aviationweather.gov for weather observations — each under their respective terms.

Team and league emblems shown alongside sports markets remain the property of their respective clubs, leagues and rights holders. They are displayed for identification only and their use here implies no affiliation with or endorsement by those parties.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hexio and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or funds, arising from your use of the Platform.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hexio, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Upon termination, you retain access to your wallet keys for export.

15. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Hexio operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
