Specialty markets
Sports, weather and politics markets get a dedicated data panel alongside the chart.
Sports
For sports markets the side panel adds five tabs, powered by live ESPN data, aggregated bookmaker odds and our own results archive:
- Scores — live, upcoming and recently-finished games for the league
- Intel — head-to-head record and recent form for the two teams in this fixture
- Odds — aggregated lines from 45+ bookmakers, refreshed continuously
- News — league headlines
- Table — current standings
Match history & head-to-head
The Intel tab reads a local archive of roughly 328,000 completed games across 11 sports, rather than querying a third party per market. Two consequences worth knowing: the history goes back years instead of the handful of recent fixtures a live API will return, and it keeps working when the upstream source rate-limits or goes down.
| Source | Covers |
|---|---|
| ESPN | Soccer (49 competitions), tennis, NBA / NFL / MLB / NHL, MMA, rugby, lacrosse — 8 years |
| Cricsheet | Cricket, back to 2001 |
| OpenDota, Leaguepedia | Dota 2 and League of Legends |
| Polymarket | Resolved markets in the tiers ESPN skips — Challenger tennis, table tennis, boxing |
Head-to-head is filtered by sport, not just by team name. Several national teams meet in more than one sport — Hungary and Belgium play each other in both cricket and basketball — so an unfiltered lookup silently blends two unrelated rivalries into one record.
Team crests are mirrored locally too (about 4,900 of them), so a badge does not disappear when a market closes and its source image is pruned.
Weather
Temperature markets resolve at a specific airport station (e.g. “Highest temperature in Seoul” resolves at Incheon Intl / RKSI — not the city center). The weather panel shows:
- Now — current conditions at the station
- Model consensus — ECMWF, GFS, Météo-France, UK Met Office and DWD ICON for the resolution day
- Hourly & 7-day forecast, plus the same calendar date across the past 5 years
Politics
Political markets get an elections & events calendar (sourced from Wikidata) plus a political news feed, so upcoming votes and the headlines moving the market sit right next to the chart.
Resolution sources
Each specialty market documents its exact resolution source in the Rules tab. The panels are decision support — always confirm against the official source named there.
